It was on a Saturday night, I went to Timothy's house to hang out since there was absolutely nothing to do at home and there was not much food left to eat from the fridge. So then, both of us did our usual hang out routine; Playing video games and guitar. Went to his room and played with his BC Rich Warlock with a Laney amp and something happened, his guitar pickups weren't responding well and it can't be distorted.

-BC Rich Warlock-

Laney LX-20 Extreme

So then, we took the risk by picking up a screwdriver and unscrewing the screws of the jack input plate and we started meddling with the wires. One of the wires were kinda faulty but we just bind the wire and made it firm then put the jack plate back in. While doing that, there was a loud buzz coming from Tim's amp. The thing was that, the master volume from the amp was not working and the volume knobs were turned down pretty low and it had that strong current buzz which sounded like *BZZZZZZ!!!!*. Still, after sorting out with the wires, there were times when the pickups were working 30 % and unactive 70% of the time . And it was official, that the guitar was 3/4 dead because of the wiring. But then again, Tim decided to sell off his Warlock and amp to invest on a graphics card for his pc which I think it's a wise choice to do so.

So, we gave up solving the problem of the guitar and decided to play some video games.
2 hours of non-stop button mashing joy till the night started to fall upon us. Tim followed me down from his apartment and while walking towards the 'Exit', we saw some hot chick walking by and I asked him,"Dude! You never told me you had a hot girl in your neighbourhood. I think I should come over more often! HAHAHA!". Then he said, "Hahahaha! Dude, I've never seen her before. Besides, we only saw her back. What if we found out that her face isn't as nice as her hair?"

I replied,"Well, only way to find out...catch up with her till we get a glimpse of her face. Well..she does have a shampoo-model-like-hair, what is there to doubt?."
Tim ended it,"Hmph, I give up hahhahaha!".

*Good Times*

I'm back!

I'm back in KL for good. I just resigned from my job in Genting and I'm happy about it. But there are a few things I need to settle which can be really farfetched at the moment, which is...I have to go back up there and collect my salary and retun my working uniforms to the uniform department. The problem that I basically need to solve is the case about my burnt coat. You see, basically I didn't know coats weren't meant to be ironed.

Here is how the story goes :

There was one night while I was on duty, my supervisor told me,"Hey Cheah, your coat look so crumpled. Go iron it.". So then, I went to the back office and ironed my coat till suddenly, the iron had left a hole patch at the back of my coat. That's how it all happened. I immediately rushed to the uniform department and told them what happened and they demanded that I pay them RM250 for the damage that wasn't really my cause. I went to see my supervisor the next day while he was on duty, and he suddenly approached me when he first saw me and said,"What happened man? Don't worry, I'll help sort it out for you. You don't need to worry". Which made me aware that it was his fault and assuring me that he would sort it out and would let me know in a few days. Turns out, he didn't sort it out for me. I waited for 3 days and he just kept quiet about it. So yeah, I have to discuss with the HR Department and hopefully get it settled as soon as possible.

If my former supervisor doesn't get my uniform issue sorted out as he promised, he shall one day be the one to explain it to the department by himself. Once everything is sorted out , I shall take a 7 month long break before I start college. (Why so long?) because I have to get through National Service for at least a month in June before I could get exempted in July.

Meanwhile, I just want to take on my driving lessons, embark on guitar classes to learn Jazz/Metal/Blues, and do a lot of innovative stuff while I'm at it and moved to my new house in Seri Kembangan. Really hope it would be time well spent and not go to waste for half the year. And I'm currently sick, which can be really troublesome at times. And I think I need read more books (Though I'm not much of a reader).

Another job to take on too?? No, not a good option at all. I really need some time off since I've been away from home for almost a month and how I almost ruined my Chinese New Year celebration with my family because of the job. Luckily, I managed to plan the time properly and we as a family had a good Reunion Dinner at Goh Tong Jaya. In life, sacrifices have to be made and the rewards shall appear bigger as the time passes and journey unfolds.

Master Of Puppets

Hey guys! I just took a day leave from work and I'm back in KL once again. Chinese New Year was alright this year and it was the first celebration without Mummy, but she will stand by us wherever we are. To tell you guys the truth, I hate working for Maxim Lounge at Genting but I love working for the money. Why?

Because I couldn't really click with some of my colleagues and my supervisors. There was this colleague of mine named 'A.L.' (Not revealing name) who is around his 20's and has been working for the company for 2 months so far and he asked me a few questions. (By the way, he is kinda feminine)

A.L.: Why must you sometimes have to go against some of the supervisor's order or

Me : Because, some of the things they ask us General Workers to do, don't make
sense sometimes. Dude, you abide by the Rules & Regulations too much. You
can't seem to stand at your own ground.

A.L.: Yeah, is work what? We must do what they say all the time..

Me : True, that's what supervisors do. But some of the things they say can be
pretty absurd. Sometimes they can be jerks and abuse us? In fact, they don't
even know themselves for that matter, each one of them gives a different
answer regarding certain things during work, all different answers..which one
to follow?

A.L.: Yeah, but mistakes what? It happens.

Me : Not about that, they sometimes preach about the procedures but they somehow
don't practice it. Like one of our supervisors who was playing with her phone
in the lounge when she was not supposed to, or during the time one of our
supervisors was playing around with her laptop in the lounge surfing porn
while guests were around?

A.L.: You must have quite a number of flaws then?

Me : Don't talk rubbish, everybody has flaws. In the end, everybody has to realize
what their flaws are. What would you do if one of the supervisors were to
scold you and label you even if it wasn't your fault? Just stand there and
make a sad face? Or speak out for your rights?

A.L.: Urrrgh...aiya..but then, we must be careful. Not to make mistakes and let
them scold us. Scared get fired, then it would be very hard.

Me : Listen here, what you see in the guy supervisors are 'MEN', not boys. They
tend to bully freshmen around here. If you want to be a man, it's all about
making the wise decisions and making the best out of life. Not being made
into a MAXIM robot like the rest who are too afraid to speak out their mind
for what is right and what is wrong.

A.L.: Hmmm...I don't know.

(Later that day, A.L. started to get emo and smoked 5 cigarettes during break time.)

Somehow, during that conversation I had with A.L., it made me realize that some people live by the rules without thinking rationally about what makes sense sometimes. It's like the saying goes, 'Monkey see monkey do'. In the end, how is the world going to grow? All by just one system for a man to earn a living than to earn a good life? The people with higher job position for SOME tend to abuse workers than to make them more innovative or productive. They set the standards too high and demand too much out of a worker. How is it going to build a good relationship between the supervisor and staffs in the end? All in all, we're like being on a treadmill going in circles and doing the same procedures like machine powered factories and producing the outputs. The way I see it, some companies just don't know how to discover a worker's talents which may help improve a company someday.

We're like being controlled over a puppet master in the end. Where is the sense of Democracy in most people these days?
